Nose Piercing Infection

There are so many reasons of infection. If the piercer done the opening in your nose with material as steel or an alloy of gold, there are very less chances of infection. If your nose is pierced with a piece of titanium jewelry, then it is best.
Some of the reasons of infection are your piercer products are not properly cleaned, the size of your ornament is not in exact proportion to your body, the person give so many alternate turns to the piece of jewelry, you apply a lot of pressure on your nose ring while sleeping.
After piercing when you clean your nose, there is some moisture left on your nose it is also one of the causes for infection. Sometimes what happens, you like any nose ring and you can replace your old one, it can also create infection. Before change your nose ornament, it is better to consult with your piercer that this particular ornament will suit to your nose or not.
To verify your infection, please see that the bump which is just next to your piercing have a yellow or red pus or not and the area around your piercing is also seems very red. If there is some pus in the bump, then it is sure that your nose piercing is infected. Now, in order to get rid of this situation, take some lukewarm water and sea salt. Take 8 ounces of water and 1/8th teaspoon of salt.
Mix the salt into the water and shake it gently until the salt is fully dissolved into the water. Then, take a stick and wrap some cotton on it. Dip it into the solution and apply it gently on the infected area. Don’t use iodized salt. Only sea salt you have to use. You have to repeat this process about four times in a day. You can also take sea salt soak with a cup or with the help of some warm cloth.
Few times later, clean the nose with the help of a paper towel. Be sure that the nose is fully dry, no moisture left on your nose. After that, if you see no improvement, then use tea tree oil and apply it with some cotton balls on the infected area. Don’t use soap or any other alcohol like hydrogen peroxide to wash your face or in order to clean your nose, it may injury your nose. If there is no improvement in your infection, then go to the doctor.
