Fungal Rashes
Fungal rashes are caused due to the overgrowth of germs and bacteria in the body. Fungal rashes are neither contagious nor serious disease. But sometimes it becomes serious due to deep infections.
Types of fungal rashes:

Tinea versicolor: Tinea versicolor rashes affect the chest and back of the body. The appearance of rashes is a flat, brown in color and scaly. Use specific shampoo such as Selsun shampoo for treatment of fungal rashes. Apply this shampoo to the affected area regularly.

Athlete’s foot: The appearance of rashes is itch and red in color. Use only nonprescription antifungal cream for treatment of athlete’s foot. Apply Lotrimin and Micactin antifungal cream on the affected area three times a day. Wearing uncomfortable shoes commonly causes it. For treatment, take one part white vinegar and four parts water. Mix together well and soak your feet in this mixture for 30 minutes. You can be spraying your feet with a small quantity of holding hair spray for care of athlete’s feet.

Tinea cruris:Tinea cruris commonly occurs in sportspeople. It affects the groin and the buttock, appearance of rashes is itchy, inflamed and reddened. Use anti-fungal cream such as Micatin or lotrimin for treatment. Apply the medication to the affected area twice a day.

Ringworm: It is commonly occur in children. The appearance of ringworm is red and circular like ring. It can be treated with anti-fungal cream such as Lotrimin. You should apply lotrimin cream to the affected area at least twice a day and keep the affected area dry and clean.

Fungal scalp infections: It will require anti-fungal medications such as Ketoconazole and griseofulvin for treatment.
Cause of fungal rashes:
Weak immune system caused due to HIV infection and cancer, diabetes are causes of fungal rashes. Cut of the skin and moist skin also develop fungal rashes. Persons who are unable to maintain toileting, person who have a loss of mobility, person who is overnight has increased the chances of fungal rashes.
Symptoms:
There are many types of fungal rashes. Fungal rashes appear in itchy, dry and red in color.
Treatment:
There are many types of treatment for reducing the fungal rashes. The type of treatment depends on the type of fungal rashes. Topical antibiotics treatment and anti-fungal tablets are very effective to reduce the fungal rashes from the body. One can also apply anti-fungal creams over the infected area for a few days for getting amazing results.
Preventions:
- One should keep the affected area clean and dry.
- Do not share towels, combs and hairbrushes.
- One should change your socks daily.
- One should wear comfortable shoes.
- Person with diabetics should need to control their blood sugar.
- You should wear loose fitting inner and clothes.
- Synthetic fibres that wick the sweat away from the body may be preferable for sportspeople.
- One should avoid the perfumed soap.
- One should place a soft cloth between skin folds to prevent moisture.
- Use products containing dimethicone, petrolatum and zinc oxide to prevent the fungal rash.
