Shalimar Perfume

Shalimar is a product of Guelain which is known for its traditional and innovative approach.

Guelain is one of the historic companies nearly 170 years old.

Guelain perfumes come with an autograph called “Guerlinade”. It is unique perfume with combination of bergamot, Tonka bean and vanilla.

Guelain Perris is also known for its different and long lasting essence. Shalimar perfume has been launched by the Guerlain in 1925.

It is an oriental perfume with an essence of iris, vanilla and rose. This fragrance became very popular during that time due to its smearing effect.

Guerlain Shalimar has been obtained from natural synthetic fragrant oil extracts. It is diluted with water or high grade alcohol. Strength of perfume is measured by degree of dilution. It comes in different strengths these are:

  • Eau de Cologne is of least concentration which lasts up to maximum of one hour.
  • Eau de Toilette is having more concentration then cologne which remain effective for two hours.
  • Eau de Parfum remains effective for three to four hours.
  • Cologne or Parfum Classic is highly concentrated perfume which lasts up to 8 to 10 hours.

Notes:

It has been comprised of different scents called fragrance notes. Top notes are very light and remain effective for maximum 5 to 10 minutes. Middle notes disappear in 15 minutes. Bottom notes or base notes last for maximum time. Generally it lasts for 4 to 5 hours that depends upon the concentration of essential oil in fragrance.

People with oily skin hold Shalimar for long time but for dry skin it remains effective for just few hours. Not only skin type but PH level of one’s skin also decides the capacity of skin to absorb the perfume. To make perfume long lasting apply it with layering. Layering here means apply other scented products like powder, moisturizer before perfume. Ears and neck hold perfumes for a long time.

Shalimar Light Perfume is seductive and exciting perfume. It is a soft perfume which has a blend of flowers with vanilla. It is very refreshing scent which contains bergamot and jasmine petal with a blend of vanilla. It has been suggested to wear for day time. Shalimar is recommended for night time due to its strong essence.
