Toothache Connected to The Ear Infection

Toothache is the common problem of the teeth. The major reason for this can be sensitivity of the teeth or certain infection in the teeth. The teeth ache is a serious problem, which makes it difficult to eat anything. There are a lot of reasons, which can be responsible for teeth. Sometimes teeth ache can occur because of the infection in other organs like the ear and eyes.
Sometimes the any type of infection in the ear can cause the infection in the teeth. The structure of the ear and teeth is very complex. The ears are connected to the wisdom teeth. That is the reason that most of the person faces ear pain at the time of when wisdom teeth grows.
The structure of the teeth and ear
To understand the complexity of the problem it is necessary to understand the structure of the teeth and ear. The side teeth named as molar has close contact with the ear. The mandibular nerve, which supplies blood in molar teeth, has a branch going to the ears. Any type of infection in the ear can be transferred to the teeth through this nerve.
This is called the “referred infection”. The molar teeth mostly get the infection because they reside in the inner side of the mouth and proper cleaning of these teeth is not possible.
The bacteria that are generated because of the ear infection can easily pass through the nerves to the teeth and blood vessels. This is the worst form of the disease; the bacteria can be transferred to the other part of the body through blood and saliva.
Precaution
To avoid such type of teeth ache the ear infection must be cured at the earliest possible. Some times it can be a confusing situation for the patient as both teeth and ear are feeling pain at the same time and only dentist can reveal the right reason after going through certain medical test.
Sometimes the ear infection can be because of the bacteria transferred from the teeth. To know the actual reason it is better to go through certain medical test or x-ray. Once if actual reason is revealed the infection can be cured easily. A person can get glimpse of the ear infection by the constant pain, or any type of decrease in the listening power.
To sum up it is better to cure the ear infection at the earliest possible as it is not only harmful for the ear but also become the reason of other disease like teeth ache and inflammation.
