Adult Acne







Adult acne is also called by Rosacea. Adult acne occurs on the back, neck, face, shoulders, chest and upper arms.

Adults are commonly affected by acne. Severe form of acne may leave scars on the affected area after treatment.

Causes

This type of acne is usually started with blackheads. And the oil in pores and dead cells associates blackheads. Inflamed blackheads can give the result of red pimples.

These pimples have become infected and can be spread with dirty hands. And then, it may develop whitehead or pustule. In some cases, it can be associated by deficiency of vitamins and fluctuating hormones.

Use of Cosmetics and use of certain products that containing iodides, bromides or chlorides and use of other medications such as corticosteroids, trimethadinile or phenytoin are also associated this type of acnes.

Sometimes, adult acne is developed by excessive exposure to tars, greases or heavy oils. Other causes such as excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays, heredity and stressful conditions may associate acne.

Signs and symptoms of adult acne

Adult acne may occur in the form of acne vulgaris, cystic acne etc. They can be developed by home and family member responsibilities and stress. Therefore, patient must reduce the level of stress to resolve any form of acne.

Treatment

Antibiotics are recommended by the health care providers to reduce the any form of acne. Oral medications such as erythromycin, minocycline, doxycycline, or tetracycline are used to reduce the acne from the surface of the skin. There are some possible side effects of antibiotics such as lightheadedness, higher risk of sunburn, upset stomach and discoloration of the skin.

Homemade Remedies For Adult Acne

Take one tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of green clay and a full tablespoon of Yogurt; take some drops of Lemon juice and lavender oil. Mix all ingredients with rose water and make a smooth paste. Apply the thick layer of it on the face. Leave it to dry and after a few minutes wash off with Luke warm water.

Take some drops of rose water and a full tablespoon of sandalwood powder. Mix both of them with water well and make a dark paste. Apply of this layer on the area where acne occurred, leave it for a few minutes and wash with clean water. This remedy gives the best results.

Patients should keep in mind the following important tips: -

  • Use only tea tree oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil and lavender oil.
  • Drinks a large quantity of water.
  • Avoid excessive stress and do exercise regularly.
  • Avoid glycol, greasy or oily ointments and vegetable oils.
  • Avoid sweets, spicy foods or fried foods.
  • Avoid excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays. Use sunscreen cream or lotion before going outside.
