Severe Acne Treatment
Acne is not a serious skin condition, but untreated any types of acne can be caused acne scars on the surface of the skin.
Mild acne without any treatment has become severe acne. Sometimes, mild acne removes itself in few days, but there are large numbers of treatment available for removing severe acne and acne scars from the skin.
Many medications such as oral contraceptives, non-prescription drugs and topical treatments are effective to treat any types of severe acne from body.
In some cases, severe acne can remove by surgery treatments that include red or blue light therapy and clear light therapy.
Oral antibiotics are very beneficial for reducing severe acne from human body. These medications are useful to reduce the P.acnes and decrease inflammation around the affected area.
People with acne should take each dose of this medication as directed by the health care providers. This is easy to use and remove acne from the skin rapidly. Patients usually take oral antibiotics for six months. There are many oral antibiotics; some of these drugs contain the following:
Tetracycline:
Papules and pustules are decreased by this medication. Keep it away from the children. This medication is not recommended to children for removing severe acne from the skin. Because of children can stain teeth and retard their growth. It is the best drug to treat any type of severe acne from the skin’s surface.
Erythromycin:
Patient should take this medication with benzoyl peroxide for removing acne from the affected portion of body. It can treat effectively, but there are some possible side effects of these drugs like dryness of skin and irritation of the skin. This drug is used to kill the acne causing bacteria and decrease the severe acne.
Minocycline and Doxycycline:
Minocycline and Doxycycline can treat severe acne. In some cases, these drugs can be caused sun sensitivity.
Topical antibiotics are also effective to treat severe acne; they may include azelaic acid, clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide to remove acne from the body.
Oral Contraceptives are used to suppress the sebaceous glands. Isotretinoin is the best medication in all and helpful to decrease the excess oil production through reducing the presence bacteria in the pores of the skin. Intralesional corticosteriod therapy is used to remove nodular acne or severe cystic acne from the surface of the skin.
In this therapy, cortisone solution has injected into the affected area. Surgery treatment for acne is very effective and more expensive treatment to reduce severe acne. Light therapy and laser treatments are used in the surgery treatment for removing severe acne from the body.
