How to apply Bindi

The bindi is the most visually interesting of all forms of body beautification. Bindi is mostly called as pottu, tilak, kumkum, sindoor, tika and tilakam.
Hindus connect huge importance to the beautiful bindi and is placed on the temple between the two eyebrows.
Since ancient times, the area is supposed as a major nerve point in human body. A bindi is available in different sizes and shapes.
Traditional bindi is available in maroon or red color. A bit of vermilion fine powder used expertly with practiced fingertip creating an ideal red dot.
Females, who are not nimble, get huge pains to obtain the perfect round. They are mostly utilized hollow pie coin or small circular discs as support.
First of all, they use a sticky wax paste on the empty space in the disc. After that, this is covered with vermilion or kumkum and now, disc is taken away to obtain an ideal round shaped bindi.
Sindoor, which is made up of dye or zinc oxide, sandal, kasturi, aguru or kumkum, which is made of red turmeric, all these are useful to make the perfect bindi. Saffron along with kusumba flower can also make the magic.
An individual should remember the following guidelines while applying a bindi:
- Skin must be free of dust, oil and makeup and clean
- Softly peel the sticker off by a hand
- Use on the part of the skin whereas, one desires

- Prevent making use on allergic and sensitive skin
How to reapply
For storing, return the bindi on to the backing sheet. If self-adhesive wears off, an individual can clean the back with an alcohol scrub and utilize any non-toxic stick.
